LOSE WEIGHT WITH THE BLOOD TYPE DIET

July 3, 2018

Perhaps there’s a reason why Count Vlad Dracula has remained slim and youthful?  Known for his discriminating tastes when it comes to the consumption of anything sanguine, our favorite vampire may have stumbled on to something, albeit accidentally, when he decided to make blood (of all types) the centerpiece of his lifelong diet.

Kidding aside though, a dietary trend involving blood seems to have caught the public’s fascination.  Developed by a naturopathic and alternative medicine physician, Peter D’Adamo; the diet makes nutrition recommendations based on the blood type of individuals.

What makes the “new” diet fascinating, however, is the fact that it takes into account a number of practical tips.  Moreover, it is fully fleshed-out—as it has numerous and various recommendations based on blood type.  For instance, the diet recommends a lot of veggies, which of course is full of healthful vitamins and minerals—not including fiber for a full feeling.

However, we would be remiss if we didn’t point out that there are also a number of criticisms levied against this diet.  As pointed out, by most journals, reports as to effectiveness of the diet and even impact on already overweight adults remain sketchy.  Be that as it may, the diet remains relatively easy to follow and perhaps, a welcome replacement to more extreme diets that currently remain popular in the public.

So how does the Blood Type Diet work?

First, it categorizes individuals according to blood types and thereafter provides dietary recommendations based in predisposed characteristics. The following table shows the blood type breakdown and the underlying reasons why they are recommended.

Based on the above table, different individuals with their unique blood types must follow the recommendations, as blood types will determine how our bodies will deal with nutrients.

So what are the pros of following the blood type diet?  Well, there are several.  Although critics may be divided, what’s apparent is that it encourages individuals to be more conscious in their food choices.  What’s apparent though is that this diet enables people to eat more healthfully no matter the blood type.  Moreover, there’s really no reason why individuals can’t try the diet as it allows individual to be more health conscious and even active depending on their abilities and disposition (see table) with a choice of activities suited to type.

So should you try the blood type diet?  Well, the advantages of living in a democracy is that you can try this diet and if for some reason it doesn’t work for you, one has the choice of trying another. However, there are other choices and even diet supplements that are likewise natural and perhaps even more effective.  One such  dietary supplement is Cosmo Body with L-Carnitine and Green Tea Extract.  It’s proven to result in increased metabolism that results in weight loss.  It also has L-Carnitine and Green Tea Extract, both of which are known fat busters that promote Thermogenesis—a process that converts fat into energy.

Cosmo Body with L-Carnitine and Green Tea Extract is available at Watsons Stores, Mercury Drug and select distributors nationwide.
